Grand Jury Proceedings
The Grand Jury
is a group of citizens tasked with the job of determining
if probable cause exists to believe that a person
has committed a crime. Generally, Grand Juries hear
only felony cases and only hear evidence from law
enforcement before returning a true bill of indictment
or a no bill concerning your case.
As a former Chief
Felony Prosecutor and Special Crimes Prosecutor,
Mr. Nolte has extensive experience in front of a
Grand Jury and can help you relate your side of the
story to the Grand Jury before they make a decision
of whether to indict you. This is typically done
by preparing a complete package of personal information
and evidence relating to the unique circumstances
regarding your case and then submitting this package
to the Grand Jury for their consideration. This
can help the Grand Jury see a more complete picture
of both you and the situation and can result in lesser
charges being filed or even in a no bill, which
means you are not indicted and therefore not charged
with a crime.
